HOW TO MAKE IT: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Put two skin-on chicken breasts (about 1 pound) on a baking sheet, coating with olive oil, salt, pepper, and dried rosemary, to taste. Next, chop up a sweet onion, half a pound of red pepper(s), a pound of carrots, and half a pound of brussels sprouts. Toss to coat in 2 tablespoons of olive oil with 2 cloves of garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Throw everything on one tray and cook for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Meanwhile, you can cook your quinoa according to package instructions.

I’d recommend you to do The Complete 90 Day Challenge in the Food section, drink 1 liter of water for every 20 kgs you weigh. Follow the monthly calendar or the beginner’s calendar if you’re new to Blogilates. I’m losing an inch a week doing just The Complete 90 Day Challenge and the beginner’s calendar. I’ll add this challenge too to my routine and see how it goes. If you wanna lose those inches faster I’d recommend you to go out for a run before working your muscles and add weighs. Sleep 8 hours daily.

A simple way to build up muscle via strength training is to do push-ups or planks.

Sit on your hips with both legs extended in front of you. Place your hands behind your hips and keep your back long as you lean back slightly and lift your legs off the floor, holding your belly in and up the entire time. Reach both arms out to the sides of your thighs. Lower your legs about 45 degrees, until your body resembles a wide ‘V’. Hold this position for 10 long, deep breaths (or up to 60 seconds).

Hi Daisy. I think it depends on how long you took a break from the workout. If it was just a few days, I think you can resume from where you left off. If it’s been, like, 4-5 weeks, you may want to start from closer to the beginning. Otherwise, your body won’t be used to the workout, and you may hurt yourself. Stay motivated! The last protein you’ll be cooking this week is another lean meat, pork tenderloin. Congratulations! You made it through the week without red meat! The average American eats about 3.3 oz of red meat per day. Eating too much red meat has been linked to chronic, inflammation, heart problems, cancer, and an unhealthy gut, so our flat-belly plan eschews the stuff. Good book, short and to the point. I'd actually give it 3.5 stars. Estrogen dominance really doesn't apply to me yet but better safe than sorry. Besides I need my workouts not to go to waste, so flat abs here I come. Most of the foods suggested were very similar (if not exact) with the foods suggested in the Abs Diet books. So I guess these are the foods to eat if you want to see that six pack :)

I read a lot about health and nutrition; and think that this book offers a lot of well grounded, common sense advice on what to eat. He is not preachy and explains things in a very accessible way. Geek as I can be, I even made a little chart for myself on a suggested way on how to break out the different kinds of foods for meals or snacks so that I can keep track of them. Highly recommended.
