Avocados are a double-whammy to belly fat. Take off your “fat jacket.” It’s a simple analogy, but helps make the point about the types of exercise that offer the best results for fat reduction and, in turn, a flatter stomach. Think of your body’s layer of fat covering your stomach (and elsewhere) as a “jacket” (one of its purposes, after all, is to hold in body heat). Your exercise goal is to shed that jacket.

HOW TO MAKE IT: Take the oats out of the pot and pour into a resealable container. Excited, but I hope you made a little more room on the calendar at the end! I really have to stick to the hour otherwise I get to bed SUPER later after work! The commuter life haha. :) I LOVE the progress I’ve made though. After a year and a half of blogilates I’m truly amazed at how far I’ve come; plus, I finally understand that other people always see the end results (how I am looking now gets lots of attention) but they don’t see the time it took OR the changes in my attitude and life which are twice as rewarding. I feel so capable and able to set my mind to any challenge. :)

HOW TO MAKE IT: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lay two 5-oz servings of salmon (skin side down) on a lightly oiled tray alongside a small bunch of asparagus.
